Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is an electronic system used by caregivers to clock in and out. It electronically documents the precise time a service visit begins and ends. EVV is federally mandated by the 21st Century Cures Act for home and community-based services. Alaska Senior and Disabilities Services (SDS) must comply with this mandate. Only clients who receive Personal Care Services and caregivers who work service codes T1019 U3 and S5125 SE are affected by this change.

Due to state and vendor delays, not all clients and caregivers will have access to the EVV system by January 1, 2021. In response to these delays, Consumer Direct Care Network Alaska is doing a phased launch by client’s location to onboard clients and caregivers into the EVV system. We will contact you directly with your username and password for the EVV system.

EVV is not replacing timesheets. Timesheets must still be completed throughout the entire process, until otherwise instructed by Consumer Direct Care Network Alaska. EVV is in addition to your normal time submission.

We will share more information as we receive it. We greatly appreciate your patience through this process.
